Supporting cable structures
Support structures include various perforated profiles: racks, consoles, shelves, slats. Perforated profiles are a metal structure with perforation applied along the entire length. Perforated profiles are made of various profiles: U-shaped profile in the form of a box of small width, L-shaped profile, Z-shaped profile, flat profile. Racks, consoles are longer with the same height of the side, shelves, slats – short with a decreasing height of the side. Shelves and slats have one end flat, and the other end is embossed, corresponding to the shape of the perforation on the rack, console, so that the supporting support can be assembled easily and simply. Perforated support profiles are made of one-piece low-carbon sheet steel of great thickness with regular perforation on one side or on all sides of the profile. The size of the perforation holes on the consoles and racks allows you to use M6 lock nut fastening to the wall or ceiling.
The material from which PEA LLC produces metal perforated profiles with certain requirements, namely:
– be strong so that the supporting perforated profiles do not bend and break under the weight of the load;
– be resistant to corrosion for a long time, in different environments, in a wide range of temperatures;
– be resistant to contact corrosion that occurs between two different metals at the junction of trays with profiles;
– be non-flammable and non-combustible;
– have electrical conductivity to protect the bearing trays from lightning currents;
The material that fully satisfies the above conditions is steel. Therefore, metal perforated profiles are made from galvanized steel sheet of large thickness or from stainless steel sheet also of large thickness. Manufacturers use various technologies for the production of metal perforated profiles from galvanized steel:
– production of trays from pre-galvanized sheet steel;
– Production of trays from non-galvanized low-carbon sheet steel with subsequent galvanizing of the finished tray. The second method allows you to protect the places of cuts and welding from corrosion.
Several technologies of anti-corrosion treatment of steel have been developed, which are used for the manufacture of metal perforated profiles:
– galvanizing according to the Sendzimir method consists in passing rolled steel through a bath with a hot zinc solution. At the same time, the zinc coating is applied to the steel from two sides. Then the galvanized steel is cut into strips.
– galvanizing by the double hot dip method consists in passing rolled steel through two baths. In one is a hot solution of pure zinc, in the other – a hot solution of zinc with aluminum. The presence of aluminum improves the electrical conductivity of the tray. The thickness of the coating is at least 40 microns on each side. European standard DIN EN ISO 10346. The treated steel is then cut into strips.
– galvanizing by the method of immersion in zinc solution of each individual finished product. The coating thickness is up to 70 microns. In this case, all sections and places of welding are covered with zinc. European standard DIN EN ISO 1461
– protective coating with powder paint consists in covering the prepared product with powder paint and placing the product in the oven, where under the influence of temperature the powder paint turns into a very strong coating.
The corresponding shape of the profile is made from sheet or rolled steel using cold rolling.
Perforated metal profiles are designed for various connections to combine separate elements (trays, shaped accessories) into a single structure. Perforated profiles are distinguished by a high level of strength and high load capacity, therefore they are used as supports that carry a cable route, both indoors and outdoors. In addition, perforated profiles are used as auxiliary structures during the installation of cable routes, cables can be attached directly to shelves, for example, when laying cables in tunnels.
