Shields of automatic introduction of reserve (AIR)

Devices for automatic switching of the power supply to the reserve of the AIR type (panel or AIR cabinet) are designed to restore power to consumers by automatically turning on the backup power source when the working power source is turned off, which leads to the de-energization of the consumer’s electrical installations with a voltage of up to 660 V alternating current with a frequency of 50 or 60 Hz, and it is also intended to automatically turn on the backup equipment when the working equipment is turned off, which leads to a violation of the normal technological process.

AIR panels are manufactured for one-way service and are intended for installation at power supply category 1 facilities.

The AIR cabinet is supplied with electricity from two independent, mutually redundant power sources. An interruption in the power supply of the consumer’s load, in the event of a power supply failure from one of the sources, is allowed only for the time of automatic switching to backup power, with full automatic restoration of the power mode circuit.
