
Accounting panels, floor control panels
Electric floor panels are designed for the distribution and accounting of electric energy with a voltage of 220 V, as well as for protection against overvoltages, short circuits and unacceptable currents, leakage to the ground in three-phase networks with a voltage of 380/220 V and a frequency of up to 60 Hz with a dead-grounded neutral. Shields are installed in stairwells or floor corridors of residential buildings and are designed to connect a group network of two or more apartments, supply lamps, plug sockets and household electric stoves, as well as to disconnect a step rack and place telephone, radio or television sets.
Depending on the structural features of the building and the layout of the entrance, floors and stairwells, floor shields can have different shapes and sizes, as well as fasteners for installation. In the vast majority of cases, they have a frameless design that requires maintenance on one side. Floor shields are installed in a niche in the wall, covering the equipment for distribution and accounting of electricity.
Floor shields can be made of different materials, but in most cases – as the cheapest, practical and reliable option – steel with a paint coating is used, which protects against corrosion and possible fire. Floor shields have doors (one or more), of different shapes and sizes, depending on the characteristics of the equipment installed inside, which have a lock. Thus, utility services have the opportunity to shield the floor and secure the equipment from unauthorized access by non-professionals.
In order for residents of the entrance (staircase) to be able to monitor the readings of electricity meters, the design of the panel provides for the presence of windows protected by transparent plastic or glass. There is also usually a separate door to access the compartment that houses the sockets and toggle switches for controlling the entrance or vestibule lighting inside. This section can be made protected (with a door and lock) or open.
