Different types of fire extinguishing systems allow you to successfully solve fire safety tasks in accordance with specific conditions at the objects to be protected. The main fire extinguishing systems used today are gas, aerosol, foam, powder and water. “PEA” LLC offers its customers the following fire extinguishing systems:
Water fire extinguishing
The earliest history of fire extinguishing systems was water systems. They remain the most popular and are often used at large facilities: when ensuring fire safety of various industries, sports complexes, parking lots. The water fire extinguishing system consists of pumps, pipelines and sprinklers.
Water, covering the place of ignition, cools it and helps stop the burning. The disadvantage of water fire extinguishing is the high probability of damage to material values. To reduce such risks, a more economical water mist system has now been actively used.
Gas fire extinguishing
In recent years, gas fire extinguishing systems have become increasingly popular. Their advantages are considered cost-effectiveness, the possibility of extinguishing fires without shutting off the electricity in the building and evacuating people, safety for material values.
Gas fire extinguishing systems are actively used in servers, data centers, libraries, museums and art galleries. It is recommended to choose them for production, warehouse, research facilities. The principle of operation of the gas fire extinguishing system is based on reducing the concentration of oxygen in the room by displacing it with other gases.
Aerosol fire extinguishing
Aerosol fire extinguishing systems are not as widespread as others, although they have their advantages: they do not have a corrosive effect on metal products, they are safe for people, they are easy to install and operate. They are often used in country houses and cottages.
The interaction of the aerosol with the flame leads to several results at once. Aerosol consists of solid fine particles and non-flammable gas. Solid particles are easily decomposed with the participation of oxygen, and non-combustible gas partially replaces the oxygen in the room. This helps to reduce the intensity of combustion reactions. Also, due to the absorption of heat by the aerosol, the combustion zone is cooled.
Foam fire extinguishing
Foam fire extinguishing systems have been developed to combat the ignition of liquids. They are often used in oil storage facilities and industrial warehouses. The principle of operation of these systems is that the foam has a lower specific gravity than any flammable liquid, and due to this, it can easily cover the ignited surface and suppress the burning process. The main disadvantages of foam fire extinguishing systems are their high cost and the difficulty of waste disposal after the system is activated.
Powder fire extinguishing
Powder fire extinguishing is universal, this method can be used to extinguish all types of outbreaks. The wide spread of powder fire extinguishing systems is hindered by a number of their disadvantages: weak penetrating power of the powder, reduced visibility and difficulty breathing for people, difficulties with collection after extinguishing. Fire safety standards require the equipping of public, administrative, production and warehouse premises, technological equipment and electrical installations with automatic powder fire extinguishing systems
Design, installation, debugging, maintenance
“PEA” LLC is engaged in the design and installation of fire alarm systems, as well as all types of automatic fire extinguishing systems. After installation, we will carry out commissioning work. Maintenance of system performance and reliability is provided under a maintenance contract. We are ready to advise you on any issues of creating automatic fire extinguishing systems at your facilities.
